Our lab is currently conducting multiple brain imaging studies that examine a wide array of pain conditions. We use a variety of brain imaging techniques, including Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), functional Magnetic Resonance Imaging (fMRI), Positron Emission Tomography (PET) scans and Near-Infrared Spectroscopy (NIRS). With this data, we hope to further our understanding of the acute and chronic pain conditions that impact millions of patients and provide clinicians, families and patients with more effective treatment models.
